University of Economics and Law (UEL) is a member university of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). It was formerly VNU-HCM Faculty of Economics (established in 2000) and was promoted to university on March 24, 2010. My major is International Business (Advanced Program) in the Faculty of International Economics Relations, in which, I have gained many opportunities to acquire new knowledge across the value chain of business. Most of my teamwork tasks are written in short essays or reports, therefore, I just present which tasks can be considered to be mini-projects as below.

Semester 7 (Term 1 / Year 4)

E-Commerce Capstone Project

ReFine_web.png
  • I worked in a team of 6 to build an e-commerce startup project. We did make such a great work with the idea of ReFine - the first-ever Vietnamese circular fashion brand with the mission to protect the Earth from the effects of fast fashion by applying the "collect - recycle - redesign" modelThe final project includes a website (main channel) & fan page on Facebook & Instagram, a presentation & an in-depth report.

  • I took charge of co-crafting the business idea; creating the vision, mission, core values & brand name; defining our target audience; proposing a 3-month launch campaign plan for ReFine & its Marketing Mix plan in the long-term; and the content on our fanpage.

Semester 6 (Term 2 / Year 3)

Establishment & Appraisal of Investment Projects

  • I worked in a team of 8 to establish a new investment project and appraise its financial feasibilityMy team decided to utilize ReFine, the previous project that our team had come up with in the E-commerce course, but focus more on analyzing its financial plan.

  • We carried out consumer behavior research and tested their intention to use our products through an online survey with a reach of 165 responses at UEL, and a variety of secondary data. Therefore, the project was highly praised by our lecturer thanks to its innovation & feasibility in real life.

Choose an appropriate country to establish a subsidiary, in which has international commercial activities, has potential for growth in foreign markets, and fully presents the financial mechanism between the newly established subsidiary and the parent company, highlighting the applications of the MNC model to minimize taxes and costs.

  • Solution: I worked in a team of 5 to create the project "Establish Nova Medic hospital providing medical services in the Indian market" with the aim of becoming an academic, comprehensive, and diversified healthcare ecosystem with services ranging from primary to tertiary care, home care services, pharmacies and especially specializing in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

  • I took charge of PESTLE analysis of the Indian market, especially Mumbai; competitors analysis; building products/services portfolio, product & price strategy and support in the presentation video making process.

Semester 6 (Term 2 / Year 3)

Supply Chain Management

  • I worked in a team of 5 to analyze the supply chain management of Coca-Cola (The Coca-Cola System) on a global scale. Although supply chain is not my chosen field to pursue in the long term, I found it interesting to have a deep dive into the world-class system of one of the leading beverage supply chains in the world.

  • I took charge of introducing the company's strategic growth plan and analyzing its supply chain strategy including strategic fit with the business objectives. I tried my best to apply the learned theories in textbooks and analyze the strategic fit in the supply chain management of Coca-Cola.
